Lawrence Jones At Malcolm X Park

Our homegrown Tenor Sax Flutist, Lawrence Jones, blew like a cool breeze last night during the second week of the West Philadelphia Jazz Heritage Series. The group featured George Johnson on drums and Dan Kostelnik on organ. They were joined on a few numbers by Philly favorite, Mich`al Beckham. The series is sponsored by Americhoice, Citizens Bank & Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia and hosted by Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell & Friends of Malcolm X Park at 52nd & Pine Streets. Mr. Jones will be at Ortlieb's tonight (Friday the 16th) at 8:45 and will be performing at a Father's Day Dinner Show (Sunday the 18th) featuring the electric stylings of Ms. Mich`al Beckham.
