Odean Pope is "Locked and Loaded"

The current CD of Odean Pope's Saxophone Choir, "LOCKED AND LOADED", was recorded live at the legendary Blue Note Club in New York City in 2005 and is being released there April 4th thru 9th, 2006. Mr. James Carter will be one of the guest soloists during this week-long release party. Also appearing is the David Murray Ensemble.

Odean's next recording session is on the west coast on March 26 - 29th in San Francisco featuring Donald Bailey - Drums, Freddie Hubbard - Trumpet, Tyrone Brown - Up Right Bass and George Burton - Piano.

Artist In Residence

As part of the Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership, Odean Pope is leading a program at the Grover Cleveland School at 19th & Butler Sts. This artistic residency for Odean runs from March 2nd thru the 16th. This is an ongoing activity for Mr. Pope and clearly provides a connection to the music and arts for the youth.
