Cape May 2006 Photo Album

Check out veteran jazz photographer Ben Johnson's Cape May 2006 photo album. Mr. Johnson suggested that, "if you know an artist that appeared at the festival, or someone who attended the festival, please pass this link along to them if you feel they may have an interest in viewing the images." While at his site, checkout the other albums in the library of contemporary jazz musicians he has photographed. He is truely helping to preserve the music on his terms. Thanks Ben!

It's good to be seen!

The following link is about the Jazz Journalists Association’s ‘Photo of the Year’.

I was honored that my image of Cassandra Wilson was one of the 10 nominees.

The competing images can be seen at however, only JJA members can vote.

Thanks for spreading the word on the Cape May Jazz Festival Photos, and, despite the delay in saying so, thank you for taking time to initiate and maintain this much needed blog.

I'm not sure if it's been promoted in the local media, but, brilliant pianist Eric Lewis, who appeared at the Cape May Jazz Festival, will be appearing at Camden High School on May 14th.
Eric is from Camden and this appearance is to inspire young people by showing them what they can become.
I have no other information at this time. I will post more when I have more information.
