Jimmy Heath's 80th Birthday Concert

Legendary saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator, Philadelphia’s own Jimmy Heath will return to his hometown to perform with the Temple University Jazz Band at a concert celebrating his 80th birthday on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m., in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Broad and Spruce streets. Earlier in the day, at 2:30 p.m., Heath will give a master class in Klein Recital Hall, Presser Hall, 12th and Norris streets, on Temple’s Main Campus. At the concert, Heath will be presented with the Temple University Jazz Masters Hall of Fame Award.
