Time - 7:00 pm
Harold O. Davis Memorial Baptist Church
10th & Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia

We are honored to announce a special tribute concert for one of the world's greatest jazz organists, Jimmy McGriff. Philadelphia has long been known to produce most of the great jazz organists, and Jimmy McGriff is no exception. Join us in celebrating and honoring one of Philadelphia's musical geniuses, Mr. Jimmy McGriff. Joey DeFrancesco, international recording artist and jazz organist, will be joined by two other great Philadelphia jazz organists, Trudy Pitts and "Papa" John DeFrancesco. Other musicians in attendance will be Don and Cici Williams (Don was Mr. McGriff's drummer for more than 30 years.), Byron Landham, Mr. C, Colleen McNabb, and many others. Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Bob Perkins, Jazz Radio Host, WRTI, Philadelphia.
The featured jazz organists will each play a set and then there will be a jam session at the end with three organs being played at the same time.
Don't miss this special tribute concert for one of the Legends of the Jazz Organ - Jimmy McGriff! This promises to be one of the great jazz organ concerts of the year.
