Susan B. Ford's Musical Memorial

In case you could not get there, I've provided this photo. There are no words to express the wonderful feelings that were exchanged between the family, friends, fellow artists and advocates! If your antenna was working, you could probably feel it too! The ceremony and the music were very inspirational. It was just like Susan B. Ford would have it!

Of all the heart-felt comments made, I think Mr. BP said it best when he stated that " Sue is sittin' in for Eternity"!

P.S. - She still has on her RTI hat!!!

Expressions of Gratitude
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair;
Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words as any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did, whatever the part,
We prayerfully thank you for consoling our hearts.

Lorenzo thank you for the photo anad comments. I just opened my email! I did not even know what happened. My prayers are with Sue and her family. We will surely miss jazz music's greatest advocate!

I attended the memorial for Sue and it was just like she would have wanted it. It was more of a social gathering of friends and family that really loved her. I am glad I was able to attend. Everyone had the same experience with Sue. She was everyone's mentor. And as Bob Perkins said, it, if she didn't have the answer for your question, she had the resources to find out. RIP my sister in music.
